The six-weekWhite Fridaychecklist.

Big sale days rarely break a store because of traffic. They break it because of changes made too late. This is the order we would work in.

White Friday in late November, and Ramadan a few months later, concentrate a large share of a brand's year into a few days. Use this as a working list: start six weeks out, and stop changing the store in the final week.

Six weeks out: decide and build

  • Decide the offer and its mechanics. Percentage off, bundles, free delivery over a threshold — and whether discounts can be combined. Write the rules down before anyone builds anything.
  • Build the campaign page and collections now. A landing page built the night before is the most common source of broken layouts on mobile.
  • Set up the discounts and test how they stack. Automatic discounts and codes behave differently; check every combination you plan to allow.
  • Plan your messages. Email, SMS and WhatsApp to people who opted in, with dates and links ready.
  • Tell your courier what to expect. Agree pickup times and capacity for the peak days.

Four weeks out: clean up and check mobile

  • Audit your apps. Remove the ones you no longer use; each one can add scripts that slow every page.
  • Go through a product page on a phone. Image sizes, variant and size selectors, size guides, and the add-to-cart button above the fold.
  • Check search and filters for the products you will promote.
  • Update delivery information — rates, zones and the delivery times you promise during the campaign.

Two weeks out: test everything, then freeze

  • Place real test orders for every payment path you offer: card through your gateway (Shopify Payments is not available in Egypt, so this is usually a local gateway such as Paymob), a refund, a failed payment, and cash on delivery.
  • Read the confirmation messages customers receive, in each language you use.
  • Check stock and inventory sync between the store and your warehouse or shop systems.
  • Set up tracking. Analytics events for checkout and a naming convention for campaign links, so you can see afterwards what worked.
  • Freeze the theme. After this point, only fix what is broken.

Launch week: no changes, someone on call

  • No theme or app changes.
  • One person with admin access is on call through the peak days, with the payment gateway and courier dashboards open.
  • Prepare a short message for customers in case deliveries slip.

After the sale: write it down

Export orders, average order value and conversion by channel while they are fresh, note everything that broke or slowed you down, and decide what to fix before the next season. Ramadan dates move each year, so count six weeks back from the expected start and run the same list again.
